In 1993 St. Bernard Hospital physicians and administrators came together to develop a Physician Hospital Organization (PHO.) The result is Partners In Health, Inc.
This group of over 70 physicians on staff at St. Bernard provides comprehensive health care to patients enrolled in managed care plans. Partners In Health's key goal is maintaining the wellness of its members. To achieve this, patients are encouraged to visit their primary care physician regularly to ensure that they stay healthy. To make this easy for our members, only a small fee, or even no fee, is charged for office visits, depending on the patient's health coverage.
Currently Partners In Health participates with these health plans: Family Health Network, Harmony, HMO Illinois, Blue Advantage, and UniCare HMO. If you are enrolled in one of these plans, Partners In Health has a large selection of pediatricians, family practice doctors, and internists from which to choose your primary care physician. Partners In Health also offers many women's health care specialists--OB/GYNs. The doctors of Partners In Health have offices in many neighborhoods in Englewood and the surrounding communities.
