Docs named to head OB Department

St. Bernard Hospital’s OB Department recently named Dr. Jamiere Smith as its chairperson, and Dr. Catherine Wilbert as vice-chairperson.
“We look forward to making St. Bernard the number one, premier womens’ health center on the South Side,” said Dr. Smith. “There are some excellent innovations we are eager to introduce to our OB Department.”
Some of those innovations include an aggressive outreach program, modern delivery suites, and updated technological capabilities in the Obstetrics Department.
“I know that Dr. Smith and Dr. Wilbert will take us in an exciting direction,” says Sister Elizabeth Van Straten, RHSJ, St. Bernard President & CEO. “We have long been known as a caring and nurturing place to bring children into the world, and our OB Department will continue to flourish with their leadership.”
