This month, St. Bernard Hospital hosted its annual community baby shower where dozens of new and expectant moms gathered for a day of education and resources on prenatal and postpartum care.
This free community event, supported by lead sponsor Meridian Health Plan of Illinois, Inc, aimed to prepare parents in Englewood and its surrounding communities with the resources and information they need to properly support the positive physical, mental and emotional development of their newborns.
“It’s important that the families in our communities have what they need to thrive,” said Yolanda Penny, Chief of Nursing Services at St. Bernard Hospital. “St. Bernard wants moms to know that we have their best interest in mind and that we are here to support the healthy development of their children.”
