St. Bernard Hospital COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

St. Bernard Hospital Patients, Family, Friends and Community,

Your health, safety and healing are always our main concerns at St. Bernard Hospital. During this time of worldwide concern about the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we must be even more vigilant. Therefore, the hospital is putting in place precautions to protect our current patients, incoming patients, physicians and staff to help prevent the spread of this dangerous virus.

As of March 18, 2020, St. Bernard Hospital is temporarily restricting visitors to the hospital. These restrictions are intended to keep you and your loved ones safe.

  • Anyone entering the hospital will be required to wear a mask and properly social distance.
  • No visitors will be allowed in the hospital unless they are visiting patients in the Intensive Care Unit
  • Those wishing to see patients in the Intensive Care Unit will be treated on a case-by-case basis.
  • Any visit that is allowed will be limited to the hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • For Emergency Room care, no one may accompany an adult patient, and only one person may accompany a child who needs medical attention.
  • No visitors younger than 18 will be permitted.
  • All those who are allowed into the hospital will be screened to ensure that they are not showing symptoms of the coronavirus disease. Those symptoms include a fever, cough and shortness of breath.
  • Anyone displaying cold or flu-like symptoms will not be allowed to visit a patient until those symptoms have disappeared.
  • The Immediate Care Clinic, located inside our Ambulatory Care Center, will remain open to the public as an option if your primary care physician is unavailable. Please contact all other outpatient clinics and the doctor’s office directly to confirm hours of operation.

We understand any and all frustration these restrictions may cause. However, these actions are necessary to keep you and your loved ones safe.
