About COVID-19
COVID-19 is a disease of the upper-respiratory system that is caused by a coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2. It can trigger what doctors call a respiratory tract infection. It can lead to severe illness and death.

Signs and Symptoms
People with COVID-19 have reported wide range of symptoms. Symptoms may include:
- fever or chills
- cough; shortness of breath
- fatigue
- muscle or body aches
- headache
- new loss of taste or smell
- sore throat
- congestion
- runny nose
- nausea or vomiting; diarrhea.
Symptoms may appear between two and 14 days after exposure to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Although some people can have COVID-19 without having any symptoms, they can still infect others. On the other hand, severe illness may occur that requires emergency treatment and acute care.
