We are proud to announce that St. Bernard Hospital has received its second consecutive A grade this year from The Leapfrog Group in its Fall 2025 Hospital Safety Grades. We are honored to have this recognition of our ongoing commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence.
The A grade is a direct reflection of our zero-infection performance this year, including:
- Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections (CLABSI)
- Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTI)
- MRSA infections
- Surgical Site Infections (SSI)
- Hospital-Acquired Pressure Injuries (HAPI)
- Falls resulting in serious injury
In addition to infection control, we have had strong performance in quality measures that address dysglycemia, malnutrition, safe use of opioids, and venous thromboembolism (VTE) prevention.
Additionally, The Joint Commission reaccreditation underscores St. Bernard’s mission to deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care for every individual it serves. The hospital remains committed to advancing clinical excellence and ensuring equitable, compassionate care for all patients, regardless of their ability to pay or other personal circumstances.
Consecutive “A” grades demonstrate the pride that our team members take in the care they give to our community. We proudly celebrate this achievement, a true marker of our continuous improvement.
