On June 1, St. Bernard Hospital treated longtime employees to a special Ladies' Tea event to thank them for their many years of service. The event started with an opening prayer by Sis. Joanne and welcome remarks by the Hospital's Board Chair Pat Merryweather-Arges. Attendees then enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea meal prepared by local Englewood caterer SanJustins Catering. After a delightful meal and tea, the audience received a special video message from Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton, whose father served at St. Bernard Hospital for many years. Lt. Governor Stratton offered warm words of gratitude and thanks to the hospital staff whose passion is healthcare in service to the community.Â
The day's highlight was the sharing of personal and professional reflections on what St. Bernard Hospital has meant to the community and the staff who have served there over many decades. Many employees shared how St. Bernard shaped them early on in their professional careers and the many opportunities they had been given to learn and grow. St. Bernard Hospital's longest-serving employee received special recognition for her many years of dedication and service and passed along her words of wisdom to her colleagues. The event ended with laughter and fun as guests answered trivia about the hospital's history and won prizes. A special thank you to everyone who attended, planned and supported this event.Â
