The Patient and Family Advisory Council on Quality and Safety is a panel of residents and employees that works with the Hospital to systematically achieve quality and safety goals. The PFACQS documents the experiences of our adult patients and collects ideas on improving processes to best meet their needs.

Two of the more recent projects that the PFACQS, or the Council, has completed have been educating users on the proper use of the Emergency Room and encouraging men to engage in preventative care.

Launched in 2016, the Council is made up of 12 volunteers—four staff and eight community members. Community members come from all walks of life. They have been patients, friends of patients, community leaders, and health care professionals, and they reflect the diverse communities we serve.

The Council meets every 2nd Wednesday of each month for a maximum of 90 minutes.
